MEGUMI OGITA GALLERY presents the new exhibition “Toy Show” from 23rd of February, which is composed of 8 individual/ group artists, Karin Kamijo (1980), Tomokazu Hiroe (1976), Mitsuru Takeya (1980), Nicolas Buffe (1978), Holly Farrell (1961), Sherri Hay (1976) Frank Trankina (1963), 3 three and Siccaluna-koubou. A toy is not merely a plaything for children but a fantasy for people of all ages. It is a familiar item for many people to collect and decorate in their daily lives. By playing with toys, we create our own imaginary world where we could freely express ourselves without being destructed by the reality. It is as if an artist creates works to describe his inner universe by manipulating materials and tools. The associate artists are inspired by the theme “ toy” and produced the works with the related ideas and motifs, although each of them has different and unique approaches to the project. This exhibition would prove that the true creativity is born from the pure joy of playing. Please visit and have an unusual time at the playground of the art provided by MEGUMI OGITA GALLERY.
