Artist(s): Yukino IWATSUKI, Satoru KOIZUMI
Date: 12 Jun - 18 Jun 2013

Born in 1983, Satoru Koizumi graduated from Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts in 2009 and has carved images of portrait existing in the outer layer of animal's skin as using a camphor tree. A lovely but tiresome face of a boy represents us living between the highly developed society and ego, as well as instinct as the animal living in the nature.

Yukino Iwatsuki graduated from Kanazawa College of Art in 1998. His painting involves all ordinary things from laundry fluttering in the wind to rubbish left alone. There is a hope for a beauty existing in the reality.

In this exhibition, Koizumi shows about 10 new works, including the first full-length sculpture of a sheep, a lovely white bear and a half-length statu of grizzly bear. Also, Iwatsuki exhibits 5 paintings, such as a green forest where the sun streams in through and a longing landscape to the sea beyond a window.
