This exhibition draws its format from insect specimen collecting. The butterfly embodies our imaginations. Imagination, like a butterfly, can't be pinned down inside a box. It flies out of the box, and after that an endless stream of new butterflies are born and flown away. Mankind have developed various technologies and devices to view the beauty of things which are ephemeral in nature. However, could we really contain our imagination in a medium? It's hardly possible to pin it down because imagination is intangible.
The title "Meta.Morphos" is an invented word created by combining "metamorphose," meaning metamorphosis or transformation in French, "morpho, a type of butterfly, and "meta," which indicates a concept. The imagination creates continuous change, and it is intended to go on without forming a hierarchy of links.
