Only Sculpture is a group exhibition featuring sculptural works of five young artists: Lin Kuo Wei, Lin Chien-Chih, Lin Pao-Wei, Chen Wei-Yu and Liao Chao-Hao. Lin Kuo Wei plays with double metaphorical vocabularies, revealing conflict and humour through his works. Lin Chieh-Chih uses imagery of animals and human figures to combine and create mechanical shapes. Through mythical and illusional roles, he creates a disillusion of space and time. In contrast, Lin Pao Wei specializes in using wood and displays a sense of poetic aura through his works. Chen Wei Yu makes use of peculiar human gestures, expressing modern thoughts of "house males" (males that prefer to stay indoors and have a strong addiction to computer games) through his works. Liao Chao-Hao takes on a different theme, focussing on child roles and behaviours, criticizing the development of modern society and the differences in social values and perspectives.
The five young artists use sculptures to display the differences of attitude and style, which reflects upon the autonomy of expressing different perceptions in modern society.
