Since incepting in 2001, the Taipei Arts Awards has fostered countless talented visual artists, being one of the most prominent and representative contemporary art awards in Taiwan. With achievements for years and continual reformation and innovation, the awards has become an important platform for new generation artists, which show multi-dimension and magnificence of Taiwan contemporary art, reflect trends and transition of the times.
Submission deadline of 2011 Taipei Arts Awards had closed on September 16. Different from the past, artist groups can sign up the competition this year, but artists can’t enroll both in personal and in group. The judgment will take three stages, resulting in one “Taipei Arts Award” who will receive 550,000 TWD prize and have chance to propose a solo exhibition project at TFAM within two years. Five winners of “Honorable Mention” will be awarded 120,000 TWD prize each, and several other selected candidates will be honored.
