Opalnest and XXX Gallery presents “Chapter 3 / State of Being” a one-night screening exhibition featuring a young generation of visual artists from Bangkok and other parts of Thailand, working within the realms of moving image, installation art, film and photography. Chapter 3 / State of Being includes works by 9 artists – Chai Siris, Chulayarnnon Siriphol, Nontawat Numbenchapol, Sareena Sattapon and Athit Siritavang, Taiki Sakpisit, Taweewit Kijtanasoonthorn, Tulapop Saenjaroen, Wantanee Siripattananuntakul – whose work reflects the current state of social upheavals in Thailand, offering audiences a personal perspective on recent history.

In this period of waiting, reflecting and perhaps acting, whether in words, narrative or in forms of abstraction, the artists selected in this show reflect a certain realism towards the current state of being in Thailand.
