No Subtitle
by Hagiwara Projects
Location: Hagiwara Projects
Artist(s): GROUP SHOW
Date: 16 Nov - 21 Dec 2013

Hagiwara Projects is pleased to announce the group exhibition 'No Subtitle' by Shunsuke Kano, Eri Takayanagi, Yuta Hayakawa, Soshi Matsunobe.
Using familiar landscape or ordinary motif, Kano creates an art piece with new meaning combining with digital process. A screen with complicatedly crossed a meaning of subject and the artist's intention avoids outward meaning but leads the audience to a new perspective.
Takayanagi visualizes natural phenomenon and law based on characteristics of each material. The artist creates an art work objectifying us, such as a steel sculpture moving with some vibration by own gravity and bend.
In terms of interest and research on establishment of the world, Hayakawa usually makes installation and site specific work. As rebuilding existing rule, technique or material, Hayakawa confuses people with the knowledge they already know.
Matsunobe removes a meaning of an object and adds a new relationship to it.
Each artist works in a different approach but they have a community of creating the art work facing with the 'object.'
