When the Nights are Getting Longer
by 100ft. Park
Location: 100ft. Park
Artist(s): Nicole WONG
Date: 18 Sep - 1 Oct 2013

Like a minimalistic tableau, the exhibition is a staging of the space as an apartment living room for recovery and discovery, in which the perception of familiar objects slowly changes as the waiting-ness suspends in the limitation of information. Using monochromatic elements and objects to evoke a range of moods, Nicole constructed an atmosphere that is simplistic and quietly alters the viewers’ attention. The unfinished drawing of framed night sky requires public involvement to complete it, possessing the same excursion within monochromatic themes.

Nicole Wong
graduated from Nottingham Trent University in UK with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art in 2012. In 2013, she has been selected for the artist support programme by Soundpocket. She also awards Hong Kong Contemporary Art Award and she is a finalist in Hong Kong Art Prize.
