Aishonanzuka presents the first solo exhibition of Yoshihiro Kikuchi in Hong Kong. Kikuchi was born in 1980. After graduating from Musashino Art Univerisity, he has been working in Tokyo and Miyagi.

Kikuchi’s works spreading out various style such as drawing, collage and installation are based on anti-values which is against values of social institution in this age. He has often shown a number of works using languages and sexuality as an innate human problem. In this way of expression, even the works are based on modernism and conceptual art by bringing in automatism and random digits, they are created with criticism.

In this exhibition, Kikuchi will present unique paintings using an error of ink-jet printer. In every perspective, creating automatic painting with mechanical error, without using hands, pushes ahead exhaustive demise of the value-system from modern/post modern which found meaning and value. Futhermore, as well as his past works, the paintings will open up new possibility of visual effect.
