K11 and M97 are pleased to present the “The Real Toy Story” by Hong Kong-based German artist, Michael Wolf. "The Real Toy Story" is an elaborate photographic installation comprised of 16,000 used children’s toys, all made in China and collected by the artist from second-hand shops and flea markets across the United States. Wolf captures the contrast of the innocent plasticity of the toys with the rich individuality of the workers who hand-produce them, as an homage to the faces of China’s nameless factory workers who make most of the inexpensive mass-produced plastic toys consumed by children around the world.
