100 Tonson Gallery proudly presents “Village and Elsewhere”, the solo video and photography exhibition from a distinguished artist, Araya Rasdjarmarearnsook, who has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions such as 51st Venice Biennale (Venice, Italy), 17th Sydney Beinnale (Sydney, Australia), TRA The Edge of Reason  at at the Palazzo Fortuny 2011 (Venice, Itally) etc.
 
Inspired by “the Two Planets Series”, the previous work in 2008, it combined the conversation and created outstanding message between Masterpieces paintings from Van Gogh, Manet, Millet, and Renior and Chiang Mai’s local scenes.
 
Village and Elsewhere has been created since 2010 from the simply question of relationship between place to place “We should start somewhere in the previous episode that links to what we are talking about, or we can pick a place, an incident, a feeling or idea or ourselves to start with.  If both episodes deal with places, we can use places to start with.  Therefore, “Village and Elsewhere” has its beginning”.
