Forging links between Singapore and Japan contemporary art, seven young artists from both countries come together in this exhibition. These young artists will present past and new artworks across a variety of mediums, from painting and sculpture, to photography and video. They have created these artworks in response to their own creative identities within the cultural context of both countries, consciously or not.
Cross Encounters also promotes the exchange of artistic knowledge, experiences and ideas between the artists from Japan and Singapore.
