YY9 Gallery is pleased to present “Evolution . Manual selection” – a solo exhibition of Alex Heung Kin Fung. In this exhibition, Alex will present his latest series of painting which does not only depict the theory of evolution but also emphasizes that “images” appears to be an essential element in his creation. “One image combined with another image can represent not only the individual meaning of the two images, but also the message represented by the relationship between the two images created,” says Alex.
Evolution is the change over time in the genetic composition of a species during successive generations in response to the changing natural environment. Inspired by this theory, Alex truly believes that human beings always have a choice either to destroy or to protect the natural environment in such a constantly destroyed ecology.
It is also considered that living organisms have no option at all and, hence, everything relies on manual selection.
