Gallery Lux is pleased to present the solo exhibition of Kyung Hee Cha.
Kyung Hee Cha's 'The ground, Lasted time' series has been photographed in all parts of the country. It looks an ordinary natural scenery, but there is a grave faintly seen in a photo. Such a way to reveal the grave indirectly is a new attitude and view for mutual relation between life an death. To the artist, the grave is recognized as living experience inside on the life, rather than locating in outside of it or a place of death.
Her series was started to comfort herself in her sister's passing. During her work, the artist realized that death is decided depending on how to take a step in a daily routine. Also, she experienced even after death, we can live in somebody's memory. Thus, in her photo of the grave, we can experience 'another life'.
