Yoshimi Arts is pleased to present a solo exhibition of Katsuo Tachi. Katsuo Tachi, a painter who attracted attention especially among the generation after “Kansai New Wave” seen in 1980s. He was born in Japan in 1964, graduated from Osaka University of Arts in 1987, got VOCA Encouragement prize in 1994, had many solo and group exhibition at museums and galleries, and showed brilliant activity, but he was died at the age of 44 in 2009 . Though his life was short, his works in which powerful touch and silent space coexist changed. This exhibition will focus on his latest year and show his four works.
