The exhibition presents the works of Xiao Jiang from the past two years. Through the records of the moments in the past, his works provide the perfect counterpoints nowadays. Meanings of his works have been found and extended. The series of his works may contradict memories or displace them in the past, triggering a responsive chord in the hearts of the audience. The artist wishes to record a scene in his works, without narrating a story in order to allow the audience to fill in the missing parts in the picture. It leads the viewers to think by their initiative and to recreate the fragments in the picture. The artworks featured, reflects as a diary written by the artist or as fragments of a film he creates in his mind.

When one is in a dilemma about the worth of artistic rough objects, remember that we can’t valuate an artwork if it is not created by sincerity and passion.
