Gallery Dam is pleased to Kei Arai's second solo exhibition after 2012. Arai uses traditional Japanese painting style but shows contemporary works with pigment and chalk on Japanese paper. Works in the new exhibition depict skies in prussian blue without any brush strokes. While expressing landscape of town at dawn and sunset in the distance view in previous works, the artist shows the sky in Tokyo with pigment. As the artist says, it is not the real sky but from his imagination. 18 works of 'Sky' series will be on view.
