Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is proud to announce that its Hong Kong showroom will play host to a temporary exhibition by the renowned artist Kitty Chou. The exhibition, held in partnership with Ben Brown Fine Arts, will be open to the public from the 16-18 May, 2014, to coincide with Art Basel Hong Kong 2014.
A total of twelve works will be on display, bringing together for the first time the two photographic series Portrait without Face and Reflection, and marking only the second solo exhibition for artist Kitty Chou in her native Hong Kong.
In Portrait without Face, Chou questions the identity and personality of the person who works at the very space where the image was taken, while in the lyrical, semi-abstract series Reflection, the artist dedicates herself to documenting water and its elemental interactions with light, nature, people and found objects. Together they represent a rich and complex body of work created over several years.
In explaining her work, Kitty Chou said “I look, I see, I capture”, emphasizing the importance of taking time to appreciate what is around us.
