Hein Kuhn OH biography | artworks | events

A photographer born and based in Seoul, Korea. He has published four monographs: Ajumma-portraits of middle-aged women in Korea (1999) , Girl\'s Act (2004), Cosmetic Girls (2008). Upcoming solo exhibitions are with Kukje Gallery in Seoul and Mikkiwick gallery in Zurich March 2009. Recent group exhibitions include Deadpan: The James gallery in New York, Correspondence: Sonje art center and Elastic Taboo: Vienna Kunsthalle in Vienna, Austria.
He had participated in the exhibition of Korean Pavilion, 51st Venice Biennale in 2005 and his works are in permanent collections of several museums including National Museum of Art, Leeum-Samsung Museum of Art, Sonje Museum of Art, Ilmin Museum of Art in Seoul Korea and Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography in Japan.
