Chang Tzu-Lung’s sculptures concerns the relationship between daily life and the life itself. The sculptures not only refine the image of the female body as a pure arc shape to represents the most complex issue in the simplest physical metaphor, but also explore diverse materials and trials to retain the most realistic appearance and color of the materials. Chang Tzu-Lung believes each material has its own unique destiny. Each material is naturally one of the worlds and the meaning of each is deep rich. Such as the works of“ Negative Space” made by tons of waste steel reborn by Chang Tzu-Lung’s hands . He transformed the materials into one harmony shape, try to show the life source, in order to practice the sculptor Brancusi ( Constantin Brancusi,1876-1957): simplify is not the end point of the art, but is closer to the truth of the object ... " .Behind the simple and elegant arc shape of Chang Tzu-Lung’s sculpture there must be something we can not see directly .Let us clear our mind to feel the arc shape of Chang Tzu-Lung’s philosophy .
