James GORDON biography | artworks | events

James Gordon born in Scotland, now one of Sydney’s most creative personalities.

As the creative name behind successful event management company, James Gordon Workshop, James Gordon has more than 30 years of experience in a range of design disciplines.

His background in fine art and interior design easily lends itself to the development of events that display a unique off-beat edge
along with originality and style.

A celebrated artist, James regularly exhibits his collections of finely executed and sophisticated watercolours and sculptures, including portraits of crumpled international bank notes, alphabets of gum leaves, tumbling ribbons, portraits of roses and gardenias and his current new obsession, paper sculpture, depicting the human hand and delicate insects.

ILLUSTRATION

James' work has been published in a range of leading international
magazines, a children's book, a national food source book and have featured on designer Collette Dinnigan's international fashion show invitations since 1997.

GRAPHIC DESIGN

retail graphics and signage, corporate identity.

RETAIL DESIGN

James Gordon has been involved in the national fit-out of a fashion
retail store amongst other retail stores.

PHOTOGRAPHIC STYLING

FINE ARTS

James has regularly exhibited his popular watercolours and painted
objects in Sydney and Melbourne since the early eighties. His most recent exhibition ‘teaparty’ was held at Tim Olsen Gallery Annex with a collection featuring dainty cupcakes, decorative teacups and iced vovo biscuits. A total sellout show.
