The 1st Art Macao, which is supported by IPIM and other relevant government departments, co-sponsored by Long Hei Group (Macao) Investment Co., Ltd. and MCIA, is to be held in the most popular Cotai Strip Expo, the Venetian Macao during the busy business and travel season.

Adjacent to Hong Kong, Macao is deemed as the 'Golden Mile' in Pearl River Delta. As a metropolis integrating both Western and Chinese culture, Macao is characterized by its inclusiveness and openness. In 2011, Macao's economy has amounted to 291 billion patacas, among which its gambling revenue has been more than 5 times higher than Las Vegas. In addition, with per-capita GDP ranking No. 1 for three consecutive years, Macao has been among the top of Asian high-consumer cities. Macao SAR Government has taken more efforts in supporting the art and culture industry in recent years, and strived to create a Macao-based art fair covering China and even the Asia by relying on the potential consumer group and plentiful capital source from gambling-based tourism, luxury consumption and entertainment & leisure industry.

The 1st Art Macao aimed by "Embrace Asia" is estimated to attract more than 70 famous art institutes or artists from mainland, Macao, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Exhibition venue is divided into the Contemporary Art Section, Classics Art Section and Artwork Auction Section. Artworks cover Chinese calligraphy, oil painting, printmaking, sketch, sculpture, installation, photo, antique, jewelry, etc. During the grand occasion, many artwork investors, political and commercial elites as well as banking high-end customers will attend the event; in addition, the expo invites Mr Zhaoli who is a famous curator act as the academic consultant,renowned scholar Wang Luxiang is to be invited to lead the symposium. Since its opening, Venetian Macao® has maintained the average daily attendance up to 60,000 person-times, and the number of visitor to the fair is expected to reach 20,000 person-times.
