Date: 1 Jun - 4 Jul 2012
With the aim to promote modem and contemporasy arts development in Macao, provide artists with a display venue and a platform of openness and diversity to communicate, the Macao Art Window programme is hereby launched to encourage Macao artists' to explore and express modem and contemporecy art concepts and toxins, while showcasing to the public the city's latest artistic and creative productions. This year six artists are invited to showcase their works individually.
The works by Mengshu are unglazed porcelain transformed from traditional sculptures of Chinese animals. By using modem mixed media to deconstruct the traditional meaning, these works aim to create a brand-new visual feast throuel a dialogue between histoxy and reality and a combination between tradition and modernity.
