Conference Overview: The recognition and position gained by Contemporary Indian Art, internationally, in the last decade has been phenomenal. Be it through representation of art and artists in International Art Expositions, Biennales, web galleries, auctions, and other means; galleries have played a crucial role in finding opportunities to expose Indian art in diverse ways.
This conference provides an opportunity for galleries to share their efforts and strategies over the years to raise the profile of contemporary Indian Art, in their particular ways - so as to help chart the accumulated effect it has had on the perception of ‘Contemporary Art from the Indian Sub-Continent’ today. This will be a unique opportunity for art academics, dealers, artists and art professionals to understand this first hand.
