Art International Zurich 2010
Date: 15 Oct - 17 Oct 2010

ART INTERNATIONAL ZURICH offers contemporary arts from all the periods and styles to a wide public, in the centre of the city. The fair takes place in a very preferred location. The Kongresshaus Zurich is located between Bahnhofstrasse, Paradeplatz and lake, near the most important galleries and museums. The 11th art fair in 2009 will introduce current items of contemporary art.

ART INTERNATIONAL ZURICH has attracted in the last decade more than 1000 exhibitors from over 70 countries. International and national exhibitors will transform the Kongresshaus Zurich into an art palace. International galleries will present selected masterpieces in art.

ART INTERNATIONAL ZURICH is one of the leading art fairs in Switzerland. Thanks to a combination of internationalism, quality and diversity and to the location in the heart of the city, this art fair became in the past years an absolute crowd-pleaser. Many visitors write ART INTERNATIONAL ZURICH in their agenda as a regular date, for it provides a large space for personal exchanges and contacts. One reason, why the fair has advanced to become a favorite of the public is the fact, that contemporary and avant-garde art is traded at a wide range of price level.

Zurich has become an important center for art. The situation of the event at the Kongresshaus is a very good located emplacement for new contacts with people from art and cultural life. Art is becoming very popular among ordinary people these days, because there is a new importance to "buy art" as a part of their lifestyles. The main benefits for people attending the event are new contacts with artists and galleries with their personal attendance. The cultural importance of the city of Zurich is enriched and endorsed by 10 years ART INTERNATIONAL ZURICH with a large international audience and exhibitors from around the world. The last editions of ART INTERNATIONAL ZURICH was appreciated for the variety of galleries, the quality of the exhibits and the concentrated performance by relevant collectors, art lovers and experts.

The more volatile the financial market, the more interesting a good investment in fine art. This is proved by a constant increase in demand in art fairs and auction houses. A good value investment is an investment in works from innovating artists with clear value structures – old art, classical modern or new art forms.

For international and also domestic galleries and their wide range of artists this event is a contact between art buyers, art lovers and producers, as well as agents. A prestigious high-classed place inmid the banking and gallery district directly at the lake of Zurich. The fact that the previous have been successful was due, among other things, to the mainly well-informed visitors, the friendly, close atmosphere, the great diversity of styles, the sophisticated level of the exhibited works and the internationality of the event.

Since 1999 the event has shown a constant upwards trend. The organizers' concept of presenting modern art of diverse styles in a central city location to a broad public has impressed visitors as much as exhibitors. “Overly positive” is the Organizer’s evaluation of the jubilee art fair in 2008. Despite the very tense economic situation, the art fair in the Kongresshaus was able to register a visitor increase of 20 per cent. Further more, this art fair is on an upward trend, what is first of all due to the cosmopolitan mix of international dimension and artistic diversity. The fair aims to promote communication, sales and contact between the exhibitors and the business, media, collectors and the public.
