Artists such as Marcel Duchamp and Alexander Calder expressed ideas of both space and time through their mobiles sculptures.
Influenced by the work of these artists, Tokyo-based product designer Shigeki Fujishiro displays an expression of spatial relationships in his project ‘Frames’. Made of hinoki, or Japanese cypress wood, Fujishiro's mobile sculptures appear to levitate, casting ever-changing shadows around them.
