Gillman Barracks itself is the subject of this exhibition that marks the opening of this new contemporary art destination in Asia. Across its sprawling six-hectare compound of this former military barracks are works from 16 Singaporean and international artists that highlight this unique environment to encounter art.
See new works and debut presentations from Singaporean artists Heman Chong, Genevieve Chua, Jane Lee, Donna Ong, Ana Prvacki, Erika Tan, Vertical Submarine and Ming Wong. There are also works from international artists, including Indieguerillas (Indonesia), Jang Min-Seung & Jung Jaeil (Korea), Yayoi Kusama (Japan), Gary-Ross Pastrana (Philippines), Filippo Sciascia (Indonesia), Kishio Suga (Japan) and Yu Ji (China).
