Lasalle College of the Arts presents: Fold, a solo exhibition by Rajinder Singh. Rajinder Singh’s work is often concerned with the orchestration of space and urban settings to create unexpected experiences. Inspired by Deleuze’s suggestion that we live in a continuous state of folding, unfolding and refolding, this exhibition will explore the potential for otherworldly encounters to be framed and experienced within urban spaces. The artist will present an installation that develops upon the notion of perceived spaces that extend from apertures and portals, such as shrines or temples located in real world spaces, which hold the eternal promise of a latent existence of another fold in another cosmos.
