The city has become our naturalized world. No longer born of nature but of cities, we are urban beings. Our choices to eat, work and make love to are only what our urban surroundings proffers. All art is born of the city; Ezra Pound could have said all aspiration is born for the city. How do the self and the city inform and manifest in the other? By distilling the cacophony within the urbane, URBAN BODY locates aspirations, choices, souls.
Featuring new works in photography, installation and street art, nine artists present visual provocations--in a bid to expose and make tangible the cityscapes of our formed selves.
