'Oh, My Complex: on Unease at Beholing the City' has been held at Wuerttembergischer Kunstverein Stuttgart, Germany, in 2012 and this is the updated version after two years. The new exhibition will show recomposed story of real conflicts happening in a city suggested by new context.
'Oh, My Complex: on Unease at Beholing the City' sheds light on a city itself including images of it, a way to be recreated and reality from various perspective, and it will introduce researches on architecture and city construction plans in Europe, America and Asia from the ninetieth century to present as well as cultural issues, such as artworks, exhibition, pop culture and culture of resistance appeared since the seventieth century.
Also, 13 artists, who have participated in urban-development project and focused on social, political and economical problems in a city, will show their works in open architecture crossing inside and outside of the venue. Exhibited works explore existing urban space as well as imagined places.
Above this, the exhibition includes various historical archives and objets, like anonymous videos from Youtube, music clip, commercial or video, and even documentary film of mouton bike rally passing though slum area.
Especially, reconstituted works based on the legendary exhibition at Museum Bochum in 1977 entitled 'On the Modern Way of Living' will be introduced for the first time in Korea.
