First architecture exhibition of MMCA Seoul, 'Hyundai Card Culture Project 15_Young Architects Program' is a co-sponsored event with Museum of Modern Art, New York and Hyundai Card. Young Architects Program(YAP) is a contest program, aiming for developing young architects and giving a opportunity to show their talents, started in 1998 and this is the first time in Asia.
At the MMCA Seoul garden, the winner team of YAP this year, 'Moon Ji Bang,' will show 'Shinsun-norum.' Based on ideology of Taoism, Clouds made of the air balloons and a wet fog will be installed. In here, the wood stairs connects the heaven with the ground, and a trampoline adds its amusement and metaphorical expression. Also, shades under the air balloons provides a peaceful space. With this, grass and cool mists reflect on YAP's common theme, 'shade, rest area, and water,' and it will provide pleasant and enjoyable experience to the visitors.
Also, in the 7th exhibition space, a history of YAP, recommended architects' works, and plans of five final teams with drawing, sketch, model and video will be featured.
