ART EDITION is an international art fair organized by Korea Print Photography Promotion Association (KPPPA) specializing in limited edition artworks, such as print, photography, sculpture and media art. ART EDITION corresponds to the development of digital culture and encourages the production and sales of multiple art based on electronic media.
This is the fourth year of ART EDITION since the title of the fair changed from Seoul International Print Photo Art fair (SIPPA). Ever since the launch of ART EDITION, the committee has been striving to become Korea’s leading art fair by opening a successful edition specialized art fair.
1. Exhibitions by domestic and foreign galleries There will be about 42 renowned galleries from 11 countries and art related businesses participating in ART EDITION 2013. ART EDITION 2013 will provide exhibitions on special projects organized by galleries and art related companies. ART EDITION is Korea’s only edition specialized art fair where the audience can buy edition works, such as prints, photography and media art as well as furniture and sculpture.
2. KPPPA Collection ART EDITION will present collections of KPPPA (Korea Print Photography Promotion Association) from the past 10 years. The collection is composed of prints and photographies.
3. VIP Lounge Special Exhibition '+ᾰ - Chair, Artistic Object' ART EDITION Committee organized a special project for production and sale of edition work. ART EDITION will collaborate with +70 young artists from Dong Seoul College along with their professor, Chung Sang Gon (Artist, Printmaker) to show the diverse application and a new approach to edition art. This special exhibition adds warmth and artistic features to our living environment for it is a major project of creating +200 pieces of chairs and tables made of ceramic decorations.
