Jin Young Min will be showing installation, sculpture and video works, exploring meaning and memory of a house, and a space. The artist starts works from memory for the house in childhood. Stairs of basement in the dark and a loft with infinite imagination are symbolically expressed through solid form of multi dimension and light. The house is where unique and private memory is left so that the artist raises such meaning of the house as well as expresses a childhood trauma for it. This trauma is expressed allusively in various ways, like weakness and variability in strong crude element. However, light penetrating solid materials and the tunnel representing a passage show the strong will to overcome wound. Min's work starts from memory of private space, the house, but tries to find cure as seeing through universal image of life and hurt.
