0km radius by Kyung Jin Park
Date: 12 Jun - 9 Jul 2014

Kyung Jin Park reflects upon disaster state and living foundation arounds us in his painting. He recreates collected resources of man-made disaster or expresses fictional cases in terms of our living environment. Especially he focuses on man-made disaster and its fear when information is controlled for the group interest, such as slaughtered animals by foot-and-mouth disease or wandering livestock after nuclear accident in Japan. Also, as producing such situation based on familiar building or place in Korea, he raises sense of crisis. The title '0km radius' means 'here now' or 'where I stand.' As representing real or fictional cases, the artist raises fundamental fear for loss of our life and makes people look back our society losing attention to various crisis.
