Artist(s): GROUP SHOW
Date: 12 Sep - 27 Oct 2013

To examine a current state of contemporary Oriental painting with sensitivity and aesthetics of today in Korea, OCI Museum of Art will present the group exhibition 'Jinkyung'. Oriental painting of the present diversifies presentation aspects, from selecting medium in terms of daily life and socio-cultural phenomenon to a way of imagerym a mix of two and three dimensions, and video.

Such aspect of Oriental painting corresponds to landscape painting in the Joseon dynasty as well as covers the real scenery of today. The exhibition consists of three theme, 'a moment of prologue,' 'moving landscape,' and 'between everyday life and illusion,' and 12 artists will show 'the story of us in our era.'

It is to show that Korean painting of today is not abandonment or insulation for tradition, but on a process to collect and release spirituality and formativeness of Oriental painting in various aesthetics and a sense of beauty at the present.
