One of the artists selected by 'OCI Young Creatives' program, Woosung Kim will exhibit painting, installation and video with a theme 'return, enter, come down, feed on.' He focuses on a time to train himself to recover identity and autonomy of exhausted ego, rather than his previous keywords, 'generation' and 'us'.
Painting series with 15 panels, 'return, enter, come down, feed on' is a representative work involving an implicative message, empty and leave. Fragmented bodies are put on a desk with a knife, vessel and personified rock. Other works also show human bodies, such as a body without face or organs. However, they look an organized model or humorous, and symbolize resting self.
His works are on a process of art treatment in the reality where constantly requires production. Also, they reveal a broken human nature to seek for a recovery of empty ego.
