To commemorate Professor and abstract painter Doo Shik Lee's retirement, Hongik Museum of Art opens the special exhibition 'Doo Shik Lee and expressionㆍcolourㆍ abstraction'. Beyond a retrospective, it is a chance to ruminate meaning of each word 'expression, 'color', and 'abstract', as inviting major artists as well as Doo Shik Lee. The artist Doo Shik Lee has received great attentions from art lovers and the artists since late 1960s. He has expressed positive and optimistic emotion, and let the history of Korean abstract painting continue with his unique view and strokes of the brush. With his new works under the theme 'festival', 24 Korean abstract painters' works will be exhibited.
