Pink Art Fair Seoul 2011 (Sept.22-25) is a contemporary Art fair at Seoul Coex InterContinental Hotel, runs concurrently with KIAF (Korean International Art Fair, Sept. 22-26) which will be held at the Coex (Convention & Exhibition) at the next-door building from Pink Art Fair Seoul 2011. It is a hotel art fair where the galleries, and independents (artists and curators) will exhibit. The art will be carefully selected.
The collectors:
* The collectors for Pink Art Fair Seoul 2011 will be 6000 membership members of Seoul Coex Intercontinental Hotel, and Grand Intercontinental Hotel, whom the hotels and the art fair will invite as the VIPs. The two hotels are located diagonally together in 7 minutes walking distance. * Also the people from the important buildings in the area. The hotel will send the VIP invitation to the important buildings in the area. * The collectors from KIAF. * The wealthy people who live around in the area. * The young art collectors in Seoul. * The people who are staying for KIAF (40 rooms are reserved) and the people from the medical convention at the hotel during Pink Art Fair Seoul 2011. * Both the Seoul Coex Intercontinental Hotel and Grand Intercontinental Hotel are owned by GS Group in South Korea, which is one of the wealthiest companies specializing in energy, distribution and construction in South Korea. And the family members of the group are big art collectors.
The Coex Convention Center(the site the KIAF) is located between Seoul Coex InterContinental and Grand InterContinental Hotel. Also located in this complex is the luxurious Hyun Dai department store along with numerous shops and restaurants all connected through an underground mall/subway system which is creating a large amount of daily foot traffic with millions of people throughout the time of the Art fairs Therefore, it creates a huge traffic with a million of people.
During Pink Art Fair Seoul 2011, there will be a Silent Auction at the VIP Room located on the same floor. Upon the sale of a work of art we will ask if the participant would like to donate to UNICEF (25%) and Africa (25%) to help make water pumps available. This is not mandatory and it will be asked privately.
