The Museum of Photography, Seoul is pleased to open a solo exhibition by Oksun Kim, featuring recent series 'The Shining Things.' The exhibition introduces recent works after 'No Direction Home' series for the first time and and photo book with 50 works will be published at the same time.

Oksun Kim doesn't show photography of new directed situation with dramatic effects. She observes everything as it is and records. In 'The Shining Things,' the artist sees a tree like portrait based on frontally. Trees in her photos have own expression and attitudes like a person. Oksun Kim shows each existence's difference at front as repeating an object's similar shape, color and form. And she recognizes existence of individual tree anew to show dally life of tress as existing object around us.
