River
Artist(s): Byung Hun MIN
Date: 31 Aug - 3 Nov 2013

The exhibition of Byung Hun Min's new series 'River' is ongoing at The Museum of photography, Seoul. The new series is one of his nature works after 'Weed,' 'Deep Fog,' 'Tree,' 'Snowland,' 'Waterfall,' and it is also an extension of detailed and lyrical emotion but reflected as more mature photo language.

Byung Hun Min is one of photographers who pursue analogue black and white print strictly so that his name is understood as unique style, and lyrical nature landscape revealed by mid-tone gray print. His photo always creates understated and balanced formativeness. Such emotional atmosphere and print with unique texture are his trademark.

For this series, he tried to go back to his first intention. Using a keen sense of touch like his early series 'ordinary landscape', he saw an object in a straight view. Thus, the new series shows the nature scenery in depth and dignity.
