When Attitudes Become Form

Seoul Museum of Art has opened 'project gallery' to explore an alternative and experimental flow of contemporary art and take view of expansive future since July this year.
Project gallery is pleased to present a group exhibition 'When attitudes become form' by 5 young artists who have developed own world based on painting. The exhibition covers contemporary artists' attitudes towards painting and a new type of it such attitude suggests. 

There are not only paintings on canvas, but copperplate, drafting film and glass with cartoon characters or popular scenes in TV drama. The artists integrate themselves with mass media as being interface between reality and virtual world, and this is different with existing pop art simply borrowing images in mass media. 

Participating Artists: HaYoung Kim, Changyong Shin, Hyunjin Lee, Moonki Cho, Seungpyo Hong
