The participating artists, Seung Yeh Park, Seo Young Jang and Gwi Won Jin, talk about their own or captured anxiety.
Seung Yeh Park symbolized inner anxiety as a monster. People's bodies described in painting, including her, are transformed strangely or replaced by cutting and hiding, which drag the viewers' emotion directly. By rotating a pen repeatedly, her painting tries to keep honesty and face with potential anxiety.
Seo Young Jang's works draws draws a question for existence and non-existence from a relationship created by 'recognition' and interaction. Through faces on old photos blurred by a flashlight, uneasiness about disappearing self-existence and desire for not being forgotten reveal in her work.
Gwi Won Jin talks about collective anxiety required by the society. Her sculpture is very modern and embraces popular keywords, which can be found on faces of people in her works. A situation to overcome social function and role constantly is described by her humorous but keen eye.
The exhibition tries to face with, gaze at, and confess our anxiousness with stories of artists. Through this, the audience can look back and explore what the anxiety in their minds was about.
