The retrospective exhibition of the first contemporary artist generation Seung-Taek LEE 1932-2012: Earth, Wind and Fire will be held at Sungkok Art Museum. This exhibition aims to look back at the elder artist Seung-Taek LEE’s 60 years of experimental art. Seung-Taek LEE is one of the most famous artist in Korea contemporary art and also a representative avant-gardist. This is a commemorative exhibition that shows how his art work challenges old existing art values and bringing new ideas. This experimental art field will be shown in the building1 & 2 of Sungkok Art Museum for two months. About fifty pieces of various works of art such as installations, sculptures, ceramics, and paintings will be shown simultaneously to the public during the exhibition. Especially, some undisclosed works like drawings, reference photographs, and LEE’s manuscripts will be introduced for first time. It will be a good opportunity to see LEE’s living spirit through his exceptional art work.
