This exhibition focus on Yayoi Kusama's art work in 1960s. Yayoi left Japan in 1957 and through Seattle, she established her hub of activities in New York. Until her return to Japan in 1973, the artist published her art works energetically during the 16 years, not only in New York but also Italy, Germany and the Netherlands. That's why various styles were created in many of her art works.

This time in Watari-um's exhibition the valuable uncensored original version of video works will be presented in Japan for the first time.
