The leading contemporary art collector in Japan, Mr. Ryutaro Takahashi's collection will be held at Kawaguchiko Museum of Art. He started collecting in 1997, and now his collection runs to about 2,000 art works, from young to international major artists. Since he keeps collecting currently, the number of collection will be increased.
Takahashi has exhibited them from 2008 to 2010 at seven museums in Japan, and supported development of Japanese contemporary art as he loaned the museum his collection. This exhibition shows various artists' works, from veteran to young artists and from representative to newest artworks.
Contemporary art touches hearts of people living today and leaves big impression. In terms of it, Takahashi wants to share a pleasure of art through the exhibition.
