This exhibition introduces the ongoing collaborative research project on ‘space science/life (in the biological sense)/environment/medicine (as in medical care)’ run by the Kyoto City University of Arts. Ranging from a temporary café on the banks of the Okazaki Canal to biomusic, and from experimental devices in sensory integrative therapy to the hug machine, the exhibits are intended to be experienced by viewers with their bodily senses. In combination with an international symposium that will be held during the exhibition period, the exhibition aims to reconstruct the basic modern concepts of ‘humans/time/space.’
