Even though Chinese contemporary art pioneer Miao Xiaochun’s experience might not be the most unique compared to his peers, his remarkable journey in art-making, from the German language to art history; from China to Germany, and from painting to photography, however, make his story an uncommon and fascinating one of all. Today Art Museum has invited Miao to be the speaker for this lecture and to share his story about how he uses images to construct the world around him. Born in 1964 in Wuxi, Jiangsu, Miao received his education from Central Academy of Fine Arts and later Kunsthochschule Kasssel, He has exhibited world-wide.
