Xu Peichen's Chinese Painting Exhibition

Sponsered by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture, Jiangsu Provincial Literature and Art United Association, Nanjing Normal University and Xu Beihong Memorial Hall, ‘Deep Affection for the Landscape ’, Mr. Xu Peichen’s Chinese Painting Exihibition will be held in National Art Gallery from June 26th to July 4th , 2010. The organizers of this exhibition include Jiangsu Provincial Artists’ Association, Art School of Nanjing Normal University, Xu Peichen Art Gallery and Nanjing Marigold Culture and Art Disemmination Co., Ltd.

At present, Mr. Xu Peichen is Professor and Master’s Supervisor of School of Art, Nanjing Normal University and the Member of Chinese Artists’ Association as well as CPPCC Jiangsu Provincial Committee Member. In 2008, Ma An Shan Municipal Government established Xu Peichen Art Gallery in Ma An Shan’s Zhu Ran Culture Garden. Professor Xu is good at landscape, figures and flower-and-bird works. Moreover, he also excels at monkey paintings adding rediance to Chinese Painting Press. Mr. Ma Hongzeng, a famous art critic appraised as follows: “It is Mr. Xu Peichen that the very only one after Mr. Yi Yuanji.”  The monkey world he created is the quite and smooth one integrated with the great nature, landscape and flowers and trees. Mountains and waters are full of affection, which naturally raises peoples’ ideal to return to the simplicity and innocence, obviousely indicates affinity between the Human and the Nature relying on each other and vividly showcases its mordern character.

This exhibition has collected 59 pieces of Professor Xu’s Chinese paintings in many years including figure paintings, landscape paintings, flower-and-bird paintings and huge works of monkeys, overally showing his art style and achievements.
