To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, NAMOC will soon launch the "Charm of South Wind – Painting Exhibition of Yan Min, Yan Xiaoping and Mo Jianwen" for viewers to appreciate the quality works of the artists from the city.
Yan Min, renowned for integrated print, graduated from the Department of Fine Arts of the South China Normal University, and completed a course at the Printmaking Department of the China Central Academy of Fine Arts, and is a state level one artist and a member of the Chinese Artists Association. His works were selected in the sixth, seventh, and tenth National Exhibition of Fine Arts, and the 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 16th, 17th, and 18th National Print Exhibition; he won the "Lu Xun Print Award" of the National Excellent Painters, the third award of the (Taipei) Mainland China Exhibition of Young Printmakers, the third ward of the first Genre Painting Exhibition, the bronze award of the tenth National Print Exhibition, the Gold Medal of the seventh National Bookplate Exhibition, the Outstanding Arts Award of the fourth, eighth and twelfth National "Stars Award", and the Excellent Work Award of the National Integrated Print Exhibition, which can be described as fruitful.
Yan Xiaoping graduated from the Department of Fine Arts of the Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute and studied at a senior seminar of the Ministry of Culture and at the Tang Yongli Studio of the China Central Academy of Fine Arts as a senior visiting scholar. Her heavy color paintings are novel, free and easy. Her works won the Bronze Award of the first Chinese Heavy Color Painting Exhibition, the award of the "National Artist" fine sketch fan painting, the Silver Award of the fifth and sixth National Gongbi Painting Exhibition; the Gold Color Award of the second Chinese Fine Arts, the Bronze Award of Fine Art Works of the twelfth Chinese Population and Culture Award, and selected in the tenth and eleventh National Exhibition of Fine Arts, the Go with the Century - Gongbi Heavy Color Painting Exhibition 2001, Beijing New Century International Woman Art Exhibition 2001, and the sixteenth National New Works Exhibition of Freshmen. She is a member of the Chinese Artists Association and a state level two artist.
Mo Jianwen served as the chairman of the Bao’an District Fine Arts Association, the president of the Bao’an Painting Academy, etc., and is a state level two artist. He achieved his bachelor's degree from the Guangxi Arts Institute in 1982 and stayed in the institute for teaching and studied at the Chinese Painting Department of the China Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1987 for studying the figures and landscapes of Chinese painting and received the strict training in Chinese painting. His strokes are standard and ink paintings are merry and lively. He had his personal exhibitions in NAMOC and the Shenzhen Museum; and had art exchange exhibitions in Singapore and Japan. His works were selected for the national, provincial and municipal art exhibitions, and he won gold, silver, bronze and other awards; he published his works and special presentations in several major newspapers and magazines. His five personal albums including the "Paintings of Mo Jianwen" were published.
