Symbiotic Pluralism - Exhibition of Art Works Recently Collected by National Art Museum of China (2)
Date: 16 Jun - 23 Jun 2010
National Art Museum of China once held the first exhibition themed by “Symbiotic Pluralism” not long ago, mainly exhibiting all kinds of oil paintings collected by NAMOC in recent years characterized by abstract, imagery and synthesis. The second exhibition continuing the previous exhibition theme will choose some art works of the same style. The art works to be exhibited this time mainly focuses on the black and white paintings, also including few works with heavy colors.
These works reflect the common trend that artists try to expand the languages and break the forms towards Chinese traditional paintings from the aspects of writing performance, schema creation and concept construction and so on, on the basis of keeping basic substances and materials of traditional Chinese paintings. These works convey the information of feeling and thoughts of different people upon the nature and various phenomena, the cognition of cultures and ideals, the consciousness and appeal to life perception, which greatly enriches the pluralism of arts. These multiple and diverse art works reflect the awakening of subject value in the modern society, showing the cultural role of art through the constructive results in both concept presentation and language exploration, which brings about inspiration and thinking for us.
